The Reformation
The Lutheran Church owes its existence to the evangelical insights of Martin Luther who on October 31,1517, nailed 95 theses (a "thesis" is a debating point) questioning the sale of indulgences. His insight into the foundational teaching of the Christian faith have helped Christian all over the world recover the core meaning of our faith, that we are saved by Christ alone, apart from our efforts, and that the Bible alone is judge of Christian traditions. We at St Johns Lutheran Church at 13115 Telegraph Road, Taylor, Michigan, will remember these events.
